My apologies for any duplications but I don’t want to miss anyone who wishes to know and thus hope you’ll forgive any duplications.
Here are the arrangements for Vern. There will be a visitation with the burial immediately thereafter. I hope to see many of you there as it offers an opportunity for us all to remember him and to let his family know how well known and liked he was and that his memory will live on.

Obituary
IKEDA, Vernon Erle Susumu
Passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Lakeshore General Hospital at 54 years of age. Son of the late Michiko (nee Tsunokawa) and Howard Ikeda, older brother of Gayle (Gerry Tipold) and Maureen Ikeda (David Harman). Proud uncle of Emma, Brian, Glenn and Cady.
Vernon was active in the amateur radio community as VE2MBS and VE2QQ and was equally passionate about the railways and fire service where he put his skills as a photographer to good use. He loved to share his knowledge and taught and mentored many. Vernon will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Thanks to the staff of the intensive care and hemodialysis units as well as 3 north at the Lakeshore General Hospital.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation or the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation.
