Subject: Summary of the 2000 RAC AGM
The Annual General Meeting of Members for Radio Amateurs of
Canada was held at the NAV Canada facilities, Cornwall,
Ontario on Sunday morning, April 30, 2000. Approximately 40
people were in attendance. RAC was welcomed to Cornwall by
the Seaway Amateur Radio Club.
The members present approved the audited financial report,
which indicated a modest surplus. The President noted that
the surplus was mainly due to major cutbacks in expenditures.
The President also pointed out that the organization was
facing a major challenge to increase revenues in the year
BDO Dunwoody LLP (Ottawa) were appointed by the members as the
auditors for the year 2000.
The bylaw change with respect to the Board Deliberations by
E-mail was approved by a majority of those present.
The formal meeting was adjourned. The members were then
afforded the opportunity to raise questions of general
interest directed to the various members of the Board and
Executive of RAC.
