From: RAC Headquarters Date: January 19, 2000 Subject: VE5FX new Midwest Assistant Director RAC is pleased to announce the addition of Bjarne "Bj" Madsen, VE5FX as RAC's newest Assistant Midwest Director. Bj was first licenced in 1978 and became an accomplished DX'er and Contester. He became an Accredited Examiner for Industry Canada and taught Amateur Radio Courses. In 1984 he became the RAC VE5 incoming QSL Bureau Manager, and continues today in this crucial role. He joins Bob Shehyn, VE5FY of Moose Jaw, SK, Adam Romanchuk, VE4SN of Winnipeg, MB, and Jim Bendle VE5EB of Young, SK. Bj, now in Tisdale, SK, (about 85 km southeast of Prince Albert) can be reached at (bj.madsen@sk.sympatico.ca)
