VPFS Doug Mercer VO1DTM and National Secretariat welcome A.J.(Andrew) Bryan VE7KSN

It is with great pleasure that I, along with the members of the Field Organization National Secretariat welcome A.J.(Andrew) Bryan VE7KSN to the Secretariat as IT Advisor.

A.J. is an advanced ham with code endorsement and resides in Staanich, British Columbia. Originally from Nova Scotia he graduated from the Royal Road Military College in Victoria and went on to serve in the military as an infantry officer for 8 years. He has experience as a Business Analyst and IT Support Specialist with the British Columbia Provincial Emergency Program, is staff representative to the Radio Advisory Committee, as is currently Emergency Management Technology Specialist with the PEP, Emergency Management British Columbia.

Welcome aboard A.J. Your knowledge and experience combined with that of our other Advisors will greatly enhance our ability to ensure the successful implementation of a new Field Organization, and our ARES review project.

National Amateur Radio Emergency Database (NARED) now ready for applicants

I am pleased to advise that the National Amateur Radio Emergency Database is ready to receive applicants. If you are interested in being considered, have a high level of Emcomm training or are willing to update, please contact the undersigned by e-mail to receive an information package, release of liability form and application. Once you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed by our National Emergency Coordinator Ken Oelke VE6AFO and Manager NARED Merv Halvorsen VA3TSA. Thank you for your interest
