The reformatting of the Band Plans for Region 3 has been done and a comparison made with Band Plans of other regions. This document is being forwarded to all Member Societies in Region 3 and also other Regions for their comments. It is expected that the final Band Plan document will be put up at the 2018 Region 3 Conference for adoption.

The reactivation of Amateur Radio in Fiji and the other Pacific islands in the region is still of interest.

Preparations for the Region 3 Conference scheduled to be held in Korea around September 2018 were reviewed.

In keeping with the focus of promoting Amateur Radio to young persons, the theme for the next Region 3 Conference has been chosen as “Engaging Youth for the future of Amateur Radio”.

The next meeting of the Directors will be held in Korea just before and after the triennial Region 3 Conference in 2018 in Korea.
