National Simulated Emergency Test: not being held in 2022

The annual Simulated Emergency Test (SET) is a Canada-wide exercise in emergency communications, which is administered by the Community Services Officer and Section Managers.

The SET is usually scheduled in October to accommodate government or non-government agencies wishing to participate in the simulated exercise.

This year Radio Amateurs of Canada is undergoing significant changes to the Community and Disaster Services organization, which will impact the SET, so we have decided not to hold a national SET this year.

Instead, I am recommending that the regions work locally to test your skills and educate new members.
For example, there are several groups that currently practise Winlink on a weekly basis.

You may wish to take this time to try other skills such as tabletop planning, deployment or technical skills with new operators.
