In 2018, the Belgian International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) society, Union royale belge des amateurs-emetteurs (UBA), celebrates its 70th anniversary.
To celebrate the event, 59 special event stations will be active during the month of May.

The suffix of these call signs represents the local UBA club divisions, i.e., OT70BXE stands for Brussels East. QSL will be available via OQRS on Clublog.
A commemorative award is available in three classes:
- Bronze: 10 different OT70 stations worked
- Silver: 20 different OT70 stations worked
- Gold: 30 different OT70 stations worked
The award will be presented at no cost via the webpage 70.uba.be
