The first mention of the Worked All RAC award on the RAC website, according to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, is from a snapshot taken on December 1, 1998. At the time, there were only 13 official RAC stations using the “RAC” suffix. Since then, RAC has been able to acquire all but one of these, and has also added VA3RHQ and VE3RHQ to the roster, in use at the RAC headquarters in Ottawa.

This award is available to any Amateur who has submitted satisfactory evidence to RAC showing two-way communication with at least 10 official RAC stations. The Official RAC stations are: VA1RAC, VA2RAC, VA3RAC, VA4RAC, VA5RAC, VA6RAC, VA7RAC, VE1RAC, VE3RAC, VE4RAC, VE5RAC, VE6RAC, VE7RAC, VE8RAC, VE9RAC, VO1RAC, VO2RAC, VY0RAC, VY1RAC, VY2RAC, VA3RHQ and VE3RHQ.

On July 1 and in December, Amateurs worldwide tune across the bands to hunt Canadian stations during RAC’s two annual contests: the RAC Canada Day Contest and the RAC Canada Winter Contest. You will usually have the chance to hear and work the different official stations. Usually one “RAC” suffix station is active in each province and, if you are lucky enough, you may also hear VE8RAC, VY1RAC or the ultra-rare VY0RAC.

Normalement, une station au suffixe “RAC” est active dans chaque province, et si vous êtes assez chanceux, vous pourrez entendre aussi une station arborant l’indicatif VE8RAC, VY1RAC ou même, fait rarissime, VY0RAC.
