Radio Amateurs of Canada has received the sad news that former RAC Ontario North Regional Director Larry Thivierge, VE3GT, became a Silent Key on January 1, 2021.
RAC would like to extend its sincere condolences to his family and friends.
The following information was extracted from the online obituary notice.
“With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry Thivierge (Ottawa, Ontario), who passed away on January 1, 2021.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pete and Evelyn, and his brother Gerald. He is survived by his wife Dawn Fossmark; his sons, Peter (Susan), Andrew and Paul; his great grandchildren, Madelyn and Seth; and his brother-in-law Peter Fossmark.
Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on the Memorial page and share them with the family.
Donations in Larry’s name may be made to Kidney Cancer Canada, Renfrew Victoria Hospital or the Arthritis Society.”
In addition to serving as RAC Ontario North Director from 2000 to 2002, Larry also served as the Ontario Section Manager for the Canadian Radio Relay League and then Radio Amateurs of Canada from 1976 to 1999.
