Ham Radio 2021 international trade show goes virtual from June 25 to 27!
Ham Radio 2021 – A Virtual Event
This year’s Ham Radio International Amateur Radio Exhibition will be held as a Virtual Event from June 25 to 27.
Admission and participation will be free to all visitors.
“Under the current circumstances, holding face-to-face meetings is practically impossible. The trade show team at Messe Friedrichshafen in partnership with the Deutscher Amateur Radio-Club e.V. (DARC) are currently organizing Ham Radio World, a virtual event that will be held from Friday, June 25 to Sunday, June 27, 2021, the original show dates.
“Although the industry will not be able to meet in Friedrichshafen as planned, we are pleased to be able to produce, in its place, a digital version of Europe’s leading Amateur Radio trade show,” announced Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Messe Friedrichshafen.
Project Manager Petra Rathgeber is confident about offering the industry a compelling virtual meeting place:
“We’re working closely with the DARC to ensure that a diverse line-up of ham radio products, trends, and innovations will await our visitors at the three-day digital event.”
Much like in a computer game, ham radio enthusiasts represented as personally customizable avatars will move around the virtual exhibition grounds and video-chat with each other. There will be presentations and discussions on ham radio topics, operating and transmitting technology, and satellites, as well as a fascinating program presented on the DARC’s virtual stage.
Christian Entsfellner, chairman of the DARC:
“Particularly noteworthy is the live character of the event’s virtual environment, which will be recreated in great detail. Ham Radio World will open up entirely new possibilities and offer plenty of space for community networking and virtual meetings, in addition to an online lecture program and commercial offerings.”
“From the opening to talks and award ceremonies to exciting lectures, in German and English – there is something for everybody!
Discover the timetable here and plan your Ham Radio World weekend.
Please note that the timetable is only available in German, but there are lectures in English. You can recognize them by the English title.
And do not forget to take some time for the exhibitors in ZEPPELIN CAT hall A1 and discover their stands.”
