The biennial Planning Meeting of Radio Amateurs of Canada is now underway in Moncton, New Brunswick just ahead of the RAC Annual General Meeting which will be held on Saturday, September 14. In the above photo RAC President Glenn MacDonell, VE3XRA, provides an overview of Amateur Radio in Canada.

RAC’s Board of Directors meetings throughout the year are teleconferences so these Planning Meetings held every two years allow for a face-to-face meeting of RACs leadership and provide an opportunity to set goals and priorities for the future.

The Annual General Meetings are held in a different part of Canada each year at the invitation of a local Amateur Radio club and are usually held in conjunction with one of their activities. This year it is be hosted by the Moncton Area Amateur Radio Club and will be held in conjunction with their Annual Fleamarket as described below.

RAC Annual General Meeting 2019:

The Radio Amateurs of Canada is pleased to hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Riverview, New Brunswick just outside of Moncton.

The AGM event will be hosted by the Moncton Area Amateur Radio Club and will be held in conjunction with its Annual Fleamarket, which is being held at the same location. All RAC members are encouraged to attend the Annual General Meeting.

Date: Saturday, September 14

Time: 1 pm (Atlantic Daylight Time)

Place: The Annual General Meeting will be held at the Riverview Lions Club, 701 Coverdale Road in Riverview, New Brunswick.

Agenda items will include:

  • Report of the President
  • Review of the 2018 finances
  • Appointment of auditors for 2019

A Question and Answer period will follow the AGM proceedings. This is your opportunity to hear what your representatives have been doing over the past year, to raise questions, and to make suggestions about how RAC is managed and where it is going in the future.

The meeting will be attended by members of the RAC Board of Directors and Executive and is open to all RAC members.

Moncton Area Amateur Radio Club Fleamarket

The Moncton Area Amateur Radio Club (MAARC) is pleased to host the RAC Annual General Meeting as part of its Annual Fleamarket.

Date: Saturday, September 14.

Time: The Fleamarket will be open to Vendors at 8 am (ADT) and to the Public at 9 am. The RAC Annual General Meeting will be held at 1 pm (ADT).

Place: The event will be held at the Riverview Lions Club at 701 Coverdale Road in Riverview, New Brunswick, just a short 10-minute drive from Moncton.

Cost: $5 for both buyers and sellers.

Assemblée générale annuelle : samedi 14 septembre – mise à jour du webinaire


Radio Amateurs of Canada est heureuse de tenir son assemblée générale annuelle à Riverview, au Nouveau-Brunswick, juste à l’extérieur de Moncton.

L’AGA sera organisée par le club de radio amateur de la région de Moncton et se tiendra en même temps que son marché aux puces annuel qui se tient au même endroit.

Tous les membres du RAC sont encouragés à assister à l’assemblée générale annuelle.

Date : samedi le 14 septembre

Heure : 13h00 (heure avancée de l’Atlantique)

Lieu : L’assemblée générale annuelle aura lieu au Riverview Lions Club, 701, chemin Coverdale, à Riverview, au Nouveau-Brunswick.

Les points à l’ordre du jour incluent :

  • le rapport du président
  • la présentation des états financiers de 2018
  • nomination de l’auditeur pour 2019

Une période de questions et de réponses suivra les procédures de l’AGA.

Voici votre chance d’écouter ce que vos représentants ont accompli durant la dernière année, poser vos questions et faire vos suggestions à propos de la gestion et de l’orientation future de RAC.
